Bowen Island is the location for yet another film and this time it includes a scene with sea gulls. After purchasing frozen herring from the Bowen Island Marina’s Tackle Shop this week the animal director of the movie asked me questions about one of my favourite subjects - Sea Gulls. We agreed that there isn’t much information about these birds on the Internet so that has prompted me to write down my observations and record them on this site. A good winter project.
Nicolas Cage was spotted on Bowen yesterday and apparently he is presently working on the movie, The Wicker Man. The plot fits the Bowen Island location …’A sheriff investigating the disappearance of a young girl from a small island discovers there’s a larger mystery to solve among the island’s secretive, neo-pagan community.’ I wonder what role the Sea Gulls play?
